The "Supreme Council" parliamentary group NGO has appealed to the Central Electoral Commission with the proposal to deprive the Council of Europe's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the right to implement observatory missions.
"The delegation [its leader] has strictly violated norms of international law by

1. presented itself as a long-term observatory mission
2. gave comments and evaluations on the entire process instead of the minor observations during the vote
3. evaluated the elections without taking into account the mass violations during the pre-election campaign," as stated in the group's statement.

Let us recall that according to the evaluation of the observatory mission, the elections for Yerevan's Council of Elders corresponded to international standards.
