On May 31 at 10:45 a.m. the on-duty police officers at the Erebuni police headquarters of the Police of Yerevan informed that an alarm was received according to which editor of "Hayk" newspaper Gegham Nazaryan had called and informed that NA Deputy Levon Sargsyan's bodyguards had beaten up "Hayk" journalists at the 9/1 polling station located in the school named after Nalbandyan.
Case materials are under preparation at the Erebuni police headquarters and the facts are being cleared up.
Bodyguard complained
On May 31 at around 2:00 p.m. NA Deputy Levon Sargsyan's personal bodyguard H. Galoyan informed the Erebuni police headquarters that at around 10:30, during the vote for L. Sargsyan at the 9/1 polling station, journalist for "Chorort Ishkhanutyun" Gohar Veziryan had disrupted social order by attacking and aiming hooligan swear words at them.
Facts are being cleared up and investigation is underway.
He said that he wasn't beaten up
On May 31 at 10:00 a.m. candidate for Yerevan's Council of Elders Vahagn Khachatryan informed the Malatia police headquarters that members of the electoral commission at the 7/18 polling station had beaten up commission member Mkhitar Najaryan.
While checking for facts, Najaryan explained that he had been at the polling station since 7 a.m. and that nobody had beaten him up.
President of the commission of the 7/18 polling station Sayat Gasparyan gave the same explanation and confirmed that the alarm did not correspond to reality.
