Today the atmosphere is rather tense today in Metaksi district, Yerevan's mayoral candidate Gagik Beglaryan's birthplace.

Though the chairmen of Precincts 9/4 and 9/5 assured us that everything was under control, HAK and ZhK representatives complained of concourses and pressure against proxies.

The chairman of Precinct 9/5, Arthur Mkrtchyan tried to prevent A1+ from shooting the polling station. He stated that the journalists were intervening with their activity. He even invited A1+'s journalist to a private room and wanted to see the photos taken by the journalist.

Arthur Mkrtchyan even demanded ALM's cameraman to leave the precinct when the latter was shooting the voting process.

Note that the booths at both precincts were easily controlled by several guys having no connection with the election commission.

Heritage Party representative to the Central Election Commission, Zoya Tadevosyan protocolled the fact and immediately called for an order at the precinct.

"They are ordinary voters waiting for their turn and are free to stand wherever they want," replied the chairmen.

Meanwhile, policemen were sitting calmly in a separate room and doing nothing to disperse the crowd.

An unprecedented activity was noted at Precinct 9/5. No matter how hard the chairman explained that people at the precinct shouldn't exceed 15, no one obeyed him and left the premises.

A1+ counted about 60 people inside the small precinct.

The situation calmed down with candidate Gagik Beglaryan's arrival.

The latter informed journalists that the election has been proceeding very calmly up until now and the turnout is satisfactory.
