An explosion was reported in an unfinished building on 19 Teryan, Yerevan, at 11.20 p.m. May 23.

An unknown person had tried to explode a homemade detonator.

"400 gramme trotyl and a radio-communication device were found on the site. An inquiry is in progress," the press service of the Armenian Police told A1+.

Experts say if the trotyl blew up, the building would be leveled to the ground.

Strangely though it may seem Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Gagik Khachatryan who lives at 19 Teryan seems to be indifferent to the incident.

The press service of the State Revenue Committee said the incident had nothing to do with Gagik Khachatryan and refrained from giving comments.

Gagik Khachatryan's bodyguards refuted the fact of a blast and tried to prevent A1+ from shooting the site.

According to our verified sources, in the result of the explosion, an Alik received a concussion and was taken to hospital on May 23. He was soon discharged from hospital. We were unable to speak to Alik as he wasn't at home.

His son didn't give us any information either. While we were trying to hear something new from him, Gagik Khachatryan's bodyguards warned him "to keep silent" and naturally he told us nothing.

Large-scale construction work was underway on the site at the head of Gagik Khachatryan's bodyguards and driver.

It is upon the law-enforcer to find out the connection between the 400-gramme trotyl, radio-communication device and the strange behavior of Khachatryan's bodyguards.
