That is another "Nairit"
The rumours about another blast in Nairit Chemical Factory do not corresponds to reality, says Nairit's spokeswoman Anush Harutiunian.
"In the aftermath of the explosion in "Nairit" Factory on 14 May, reconstruction activities are being carried out in the factory's chloroprene unit to guarantee the security of new production, neutralize chemical wastes, exclude the chances of new blasts and to ensure safety of fiermen and investigative agents on the site of disaster.
"There is no threat of a new blast in the plant," runs the Factory's press release.
"Yesterday's fire occurred 1 km away from Nairit Factory and had no infuelnce on Nairit's fire safety."
Note that fire burst out in Nairit-2, situated near the rubber plant ,on 5/1 Artashat highway at 6.08 p.m. May 21.
36-square-meter polyethylene items got burnt as a result.
