Karpov is in Armenia
Serzh Sargsyan received the former undisputed world chess champion, the chairman of Peace foundation Anatoly Karpov.
Serzh President greeted the guest and said Armenia remembers the champion's victories and achievements. His social and humanitarian activities are well known. Anatoly Karpov said that the Peace foundation founded in 1983 has 27 branches all over the world. The foundation was among the first organizations to provide soonest aid to Armenia during the Spitak earthquake in 1988.
Regarding the future plans, Karpov said that a presentation of Russian products will take place in Armenia in October. He highly evaluated the activities of the foundation's Armenian branch.
The interlocutors also dwelt on the prospects of Armenian chess.
