Pride for votes
Yerevan mayor candidate Tigran Karapetyan expects to receive as many votes as the people want him to receive. He is not concerned over the higher ratings of other candidates.
"Everyone has an equal opportunity and if we look at it honestly, I have the highest chances."
Tigran Karapetyan is participating in the elections because, as he says, first and foremost the people have no alternative and secondly, "We rely on the people's consciousness. There will come a day when they will have had enough of this and will realize that our ideals are higher than that. But we are becoming clever, gaining experience and we will do everything we can."
The main points in his platform are the slogans of the People's Party, including "Love" and "Guarantees for citizens of Yerevan". "We say love because nowadays there is hatred everywhere. Besides that, we are Christian and we must have that love inside us as a component. Secondly, guarantees for citizens of Yerevan against all violations that have turned into a standard," Tigran Karapetyan told "A1+" adding that his party is simply suggesting people pride.
What will Tigran Karapetyan do if he is not elected?
"If a political figure loses all chances, he chooses the alternative. It is not excluded that we will take to the streets."
Will the elections be falsified? In response to that, Tigran Karapetyan said that falsification is possible due to the created conditions.
