Armenian photo-journalist awarded
A jubilee evening was given to renowned photo-journalist Harry Kundakchyan at New York's Armenian Centre dedicated to. The evening was organised by the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society.
The opening ceremony was trusted to prominent writer, playwright and member of the Writers' Union of Armenia Hrant Margaryan. He introduced to the guests the photo-journalist's family and work background.
Harry Kundakchyan worked for the "Associated Press" for many years and held the post of chief editor of the Middle East press department for 40 years.
Harry Kundakchyan also received prizes by "World Press Photo" and "Managing Editors".
At the end of the ceremony Harry Kundakchyan was awarded а letter of commendation by the the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society.
