Expressed condolence on behalf of Armenians
Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolence to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano.
"On behalf of me and the people of Armenia, I express my condolences to you and the friendly people of Italy for the number of deaths and destruction caused by the earthquake that took place in the LevAkvila center of the Abruzzo region.
I share your pain and wish rapid recovery from this devastating disaster. As for friends and relatives of the victims, I wish them strength and patience," as stated in the letter.
Nearly 200 people died as a result of the earthquake that took place in central Italy yesterday and thousands of people were left homeless.
Based on the evaluation of the U.S. Geological Studies Organization, the earthquake was measured 6.3 on the Richter scale.
