Who is against?
The Armenian National Congress and the "Heritage" party still haven't come to terms on the joint list for taking part in the upcoming elections for Yerevan city council.
The "Heritage" party discussed the joint list with the ANC until late last night. The party formed its own and, as press speaker for "Heritage" Hovsep Khurshudyan said, a more competitive list that has not been approved by the ANC.
Hovsep Khurshudyan did not wish to comment on what "Heritage" proposed and what the ANC did not approve and said:
"We don't have any agreements with "Heritage" and haven't presented any details to the press regarding proposals of the ANC. If we do make an agreement, perhaps we will present them. But we affirm that our talks on the joint list were not successful."
As for the elections, "Heritage" has not made a decision yet. As Khurshudyan said, they will make a decision in the days to come and by law they have time until March 22. Today the "Heritage" party will hold a board meeting at 8 p.m., however it is quite possible that a decision will not be made today either.
Was it acceptable to have RA first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan head the joint list of the opposition? In response to that, Khurshudyan said:
"Our list greatly differed from the list presented by the ANC with its structure. This refers to the structure of the entire list."
