Roof torn off
An alarm was received on March 9 at 2:30 p.m. that the metal roof of the balcony on the 5th floor of bulding 16 on Babayan Street of Yerevan was torn off due to strong winds and was hung from the tree near by.
Rescuers brought a ladder and removed the roof from the tree.
Students evacuated
On the same day at around 6 p.m.the wooden structures and zync roofts of the private homes belonging to three residents of the Nerkin Getashen village due to strong winds. The glass windows of the two floors of the middle school of Kut village were also torn off. Students were quickly evacuated and there were no injuries.
The village council has created a commission to check the damage caused.
A comission was created
On the same day the roof of a house in the Lusashogh village was damaged due to strong winds, while the roofs of thirty homes and schools, the roofs of two buildings in the Banavan village, the roof of the school of the Lanjar village, as well as the roofs of houses in the Ayntap and Barzrashen villages were partially torn.
A comission has been created to check the damange done.
On the same day, the roof of school #13 of Kapan was damaged, glass windows were shattered, and the roofs of houses of the villages of Nerkin Hand, Verin Khotana, Yeghvard, Kaghnut and Sevkar and the building on Avetisyan Street were torn off.
A commission has been created to check the damage done here as well.
