The Press Secretary of Armenia's Prime Minister, Diana Mnatsakanyan, today handed in her resignation letter. In a conversation to A1+, Diana Mnatsakanyan said she wants to return to her former job, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Armenian Public Television, as she finds it closer to her heart.

Diana says Chairman of Public Radio and Television Council Alexan Harutyunyan has also persuaded her to be back to Public TV.

"Nothing has happened to me. I simply think this post is not for me. I have been asked many times to return to Public Television, and this time I simply gave in. I like to work and contact with Europeans broadcasters," she says.

Note that Mary Harutyunyan, Head of the RoA Government's Information and Public Relations Department, has also tendered her resignation papers. She is rumoured to be transferred to the President's Office to take charge of a higher post.

Asked whether their decisions are somehow related, Diana Mnatsakanyan gave a negative answer.
