GEVORG DAVTYAN –THE BEST SPORTSMAN
Support A1+!Weight-lifter Gevorg Davtyan is recognized the best sportsman of Armenia in 2007. This year the 24-year-old sportsman became the champion of the Europe and vice champion of the world, thus, we did not doubt that he would be recognized the best. By the results of the survey conducted by the sport journalists of the Armenian Federation, Gevorgyan received 454 points of 460.
Hripsime Khurshudyan is in the second place with 328 points. She is the Champion of Europe in 2007, as well as the winner of youth championship. Wrestler Yuri Patrikev was in the third place with 281 points. Weight-lifter Meline Daluzyan, who has become the Champion of Europe, occupies the 4-th place with 253 points. Among the best 10 sportsmen are judoist Hovhannes Davtyan, chess players Elina Danielyan and Levon Aronyan, weight lifters Ara Khachatryan and Tigran Martirosyan.
The Armenian chess national team of men was recognized the best team of Armenia in 2007. Women’s chess national team occupies the second place, weightlifting team occupies the third place. 46 journalists have participated in the survey.
