PROBLEM OF ATTACK LINE
Support A1+!Yan Porterfield, the chief coach of the Armenian national football team, has announced the names of 23 footballers who are to play during the “Euro-2008” selective meetings. Among the 23 footballers, the name of Vahe Tadevosyan, who is playing in Swiss “Arau” team, and the name of the Marcos from Brasil, playing in “Ararat” team were left out. These two attackers are in good physical shapes and are more experienced. And who are to play in the attack line during the upcoming meetings?
They are Arman Qaramyan (Chakhlaul Romania), Aram Hakobyan (Iljichevich, the Ukraine), Edgar Manucharyan (Ajaks, Holland), Robert Zebelyan (Kuban, Russia). These footballers are lacking experience and it is doubtful whether they will be able to play productively or not. Generally, the attack line has always been vulnerable for the Armenian team and during the official meetings our team misses goals.
The Armenian team protectors are incomaparatively good shape. This is mostly about Artavazd Qaramyan, who is playing in Romanian team “Polytechnic”, Levon Pachajyan, who is playing in “Pyunik” team, is also a good football player.
As to the protection, the problems are not that much and those who are invited to play deserve playing in the national team. Since Roman Berezovski is to play for a goal-keeper, the Armenian footballers will not have any problems.
