MULTI-CHILDREN FAMILY HAS NOWHERE TO LIVE
Support A1+!Resident of Kapan town, Evgenia, lives in a rented flat with her nine children. The family is obliged to vacate the flat and look for another for the eighth time. It is four years she has taken care of her children herself.
Evgenia has tried hard to find a job but all her efforts have failed. Today her only wish is to have her own flat.
“I have applied to many instances. They all blamed me saying I shouldn’t have had so many children. They said I was to find a way out myself,” says Evgenia Baghdasarian.
The family is constantly on the move. Evgenia’s eldest son serves in the army. He will be back in May. Many suggest sending the under-age children to an orphanage but she has refused. The children shouldn’t be deprived of maternal love and affection, she says.
Today the family can hardly afford daily bread on the benefit given by the state. Alongside with other problems, they cannot pay for the flat as the owner has increased the rent.
