“TSAYG” AND “GALA” ARE UNBIASED
Support A1+!The Gyumri journalist club “Asparez” carries out monitoring among the local Mass Media in order to find out how the issues about the Constitutional amendments are highlighted.
Investigating the informational programs of the Gyumri “Tsayg”, “Shant”, “Shirak” and “Gala”, “Asparez” club mentioned the following: during one week “Tsayg” TV Company “Azdarar” news program referred to the amendments 24 times, 17 of which were unbiased. As for “Gala” TV Company the numbers are 35/19 respectively.
And as for “Shirak”, it has referred to the amendments 9 times, most of which were unbiased too. And in the programs of “Shant” TV Company of the 21 references 13 spoke about the positive sides of the Constitutional amendments.
If the President of the “Asparez” club Nadezhda Hakobyan thinks that the local TV Companies only try to remain unbiased, Yerevan Press Club expert Ashot Meliqyan thinks that the TV Companies “Tsayg” and “Gala” have managed to remain so.
