CELEBRATING THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE MUSICAL SCHOOL AFTER SPENDIARYAN

This year is the 175th anniversary of composer Alexander Spendiaryan, as well as the 75th anniversary of the musical school after him. In this connection the school organizes a number of events within the framework of the two million AMD allotted by the Yerevan municipality. Headmaster of the school Samvel Sahakyan informed about it today.

The opening ceremony took place on March 20 in the music hall after Arno Babajanyan, and the closing will take place on April 13 in the State Opera Theater.

The school has 530 pupils. Up to now it has had 5000 thousand pupils. Almost all the lead composers of Armenia – Alexander Haroutyunyan, Edward Mirzoyan, Arno Babajanyan, Robert Amirkhanyan, Martin Vardazaryan and many others, used to come to this school as it was the only one.
