IMF PROVIDES ADDITIONAL 18 MILLION USD TO AZERBAIJAN
Support A1+!International Monetary Fund released a favourably disposed to Azerbaijan’s economic achievements revue and allocated 18 million USD to speed up economic growth and reduce poverty.
IMF Deputy Governor Eduardo Aninat welcomed Azerbaijan’s macroeconomic achievements for recent years and stable finance and budget policy pursued by Azeri government.
At the same time, the IMF representative noted serious problems such as working-out a policy for oil resources exploitation and rapid privatisation of the rest number of state-owned banks are still ahead.
Aninat also said the authorities have to carefully revise their plans for creation of special economic zones, as they threaten to undermine management reforms and lead to considerable losses in profit.
