In 2001 Indian government made a decision to provide 1,000 tones of grain for Armenia as humanitarian aid because the republic suffered consequences of drought.

750 tones of grain and 250 tones of rice delivered to Armenia and given to specially set commission in this year February.

The humanitarian aid is to be distributed among the republic’s provinces affected by drought.
