The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Hovik Abrahamyan received the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe to Armenia, Silvia Zehe.
The parties discussed issues related to the cooperation between the National Assembly and the Council of Europe in 2009. Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan noted that there are a number of programs to be implemented this year.
Mr. Abrahamyan referred to the visit of the co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee to Armenia, presenting the steps our country has taken to meet the requirements of Resolutions 1609 and 1620.
Hovik Abrahamyan is scheduled to meet the PACE co-rapporteurs on January 14.
