AGB OFFICE TO OPEN IN YEREVAN
Support A1+!On November 18 the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Haruhiko Kuroda (Manila, Philippines), will arrive in Armenia for a one-day visit. The ADB President will meet with President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Catholicos Karegin II.
On November 18 Mr. Kuroda will officially dedicate the first ADB office in Yerevan which will coordinate the ADB activities in Armenia.
The AGB and the Armenian Government will sign a new agreement. The ADB is expected to assist in the development of community roads and improve the management of transport.
In Armenia, the ADB focuses on transport, public utilities and improvements to public services. Since 2005 when Armenia joined the ADB, the bank has financed two programmes, community roads and water supply.
