Today Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the Beirut-based “Aztag” Armenian daily on the 80th anniversary.

“For eight decades“Aztag” has followed its vocation aimed at preservation of national identity, Armenian culture and education with great honour and dignity. At the same time the newspaper has laid a strong accent on the current news from Homeland and intercommunity events. “Aztag” has been and still remains a mighty stand for Armenia-Diaspora unity and for raising pan-Armenian issues.

I wish “Aztag” longevity and greater audience. I am confident that the newspaper still has much to convey to its readers,” runs the message.
