SARKISSIAN TO MEET WITH YUSHENKO
Support A1+!Serzh Sarkissian and His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos and Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians, will leave for the Crimea on July 28 to participate in the 650th anniversary of the foundation of Armenian St. Khach Church.
The Armenian delegation involves the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Culture and other top officials.
Armenia’s President will attend the anointment of the Church to be performed by the Catholicos of All Armenians.
St. Khach is a medieval Armenian church serving as a spiritual center for Armenians of the Crimea.
Serzh Sarkissian will also meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Victor Yushchenko. The sides are expected to sign a partnership agreement.
