NALBANDIAN MEETS MAMEDIAROV
Support A1+!Today on invitation of the Foreign Minister of France Bernard Couchner, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian left for France to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest.
Attributing great importance to mutual understanding and negotiations the ministers expressed willingness to cooperate on European, regional, international and bilateral levels.
Edward Nalbandian focused Couchner’s attention on the course of negotiations of Nagorno Karabakh conflict regulation and expressed Armenia’s readiness to continue cooperation with OSCE Minsk Group. In reply to Nalbandian’s concern Couchner assured that his country would make every effort to contribute to Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. At the end of the meeting Coucher kindly accepted Nalbandian’s invitation to Yerevan.
The meeting was followed by a joint press conference at which RA Foreign Minister spoke of Armenia’s relations with Turkey. “The present generation has inherited a knotty page in history and to turn it over political leaders should take objective steps. Armenia is ready. We suggest reestablishment of relations without a prerequisite. It would be beneficial for both nations.”
On May 6 Edward Nalbandian left for Strasbourg to participate in the 118th session of the Committee of EC Ministers. In the afternoon he will meet the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov.
