CARDINAL TARCHIZIO BERTONE TO VISIT ARMENIA

On March 2-6 the Secretary of State of Vatican His Holiness Cardinal Tarchizio Bertone arrives in Armenia upon the invitation of the Armenian Government and the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

The Cardinal is scheduled to meet with Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian, the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Prime Minister Serzh Sarkissian and Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian.

The Secretary of State of Vatican is expected to visit the Genocide Memorial in Yerevan, the Matenadaran, the Mkhitarian Center in Avan and the Mother Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator.

The Cardinal will visit also Khor Virap, Noravank and Geghard.
