SEMNEBY IS IN YEREVAN
Support A1+!On February 18 Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian received the EU Special representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.
Mr. Semneby presented the results and evaluations of his official meetings in Moscow and Tbilisi.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the events connected with Kosovo’s independence. Mr. Semneby informed that a meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers dedicated to the situation in Kosovo will be convened in Brussels today.
During the meeting a reference was made to the presidential election in Armenia. It was noted that the forthcoming elections are notable for a healthy competition. The parties attached special importance to holding the election in line with international standards. They also underlined that deepening of democratic processes in Armenia will enhance further cooperation with the European Union.
