On December 8 Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II awarded a medal of St. Gregory Illuminator to Ralf Yirikian, CEO K-Telecom, highly appreciating the latter's contribution to Armenian nation and church.

In his speech Ralf Yirikian expressed willingness to serve the Armenian church and people further on. “I will continue to serve our Church, our Motherland and the Armenians. I do not a see marked difference between Artsakh, Armenia and the Diaspora Armenians are Armenians wherever they might live”
