NEW AMBASSADOR
Support A1+!The RA President Robert Kocharyan handed over his credentials to the newly appointed Ambassador of Uruguay Jorge Alberto Meyer Long (residence Moscow).
The President congratulated the Ambassador and wished him success in carrying out his mission.
Underlining friendly relation between the two countries, the parties prioritized trade and economic cooperation. They pointed out the productive collaboration between Armenia and Uruguay within the frameworks of international organizations.
Pointing out that 1965 Uruguay was the first country to recognize the Armenian Genocide officially, the Ambassador said that the Armenian community was very active in Uruguay and played a particular role in the bilateral relations.
