GENERAL PROSECUTOR RECEIVED OBSERVERS

Today RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan received Yan Gorvini, the head of the OSCE/ODHIR election observation mission to Armenia.

The parties dwelt on the conduct of RA NA elections and relevance of election frauds.

Mr. Hovsepyan informed the OSCE representatives that working groups have been set up to watch the election processes and report on the flaws.

“Taking into consideration the experience of the previous years, we have worked out a mechanism which will prove to be effective,” the RA Prosecutor General says.

In his words, the RA General Prosecutor's Office has come to an agreement with the RA National Security Service and Police Forces to cooperate with the working groups and to pass data on fabrications.

On the guests' request, Mr. Hovsepyan presented the order and activity of the working groups which involve skillful specialists and prosecutors.

RA Prosecutor General noted that the Prosecutor's Office is not entitled to intervene with the electoral procedures, and they will do their best to exclude the any further intervention.

Mr. Hovsepyan expressed his readiness to pass the necessary data on the elections to the observers and public.
