WEEK OF NATO IN YEREVAN
Support A1+!The week of NATO will kick off in Yerevan on March 12 - 16 in the framework of the Individual Action Plan. The RA Foreign Ministry said a team of various level NATO officials will deliver here a series of lectures, give televised interviews and meet with non-governmental organizations and students to provide a better understanding of Armenia-NATO cooperation.
The week of the NATO is one of the most important events which is aimed at familiarizing the RA citizens with the main directions of the Armenia-NATO cooperation, the description and essence of the NATO, as well as the NATO-related issues.
NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean Fournet, will also visit Armenian. He will meet with the RA NA Speaker, Foreign Minister and Chairman of the National Academy of Science.
To note, Jean Fournet assumed the post of NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy on 1 April 2003. His department is responsible for all activities related to image building of the Alliance and cooperation with political, diplomatic, administrative, academic and media circles. Mr. Fournet also heads the NATO Science Committee.
