GUAM URGES TO IGNORE THE KARABAKH REFERNDUM
Support A1+!The council of GUAM FMs urged the international community to ignore the results of the NKR constitutional referendum scheduled on December 10.
The council underlines that the referendum contravenes the Constitution of Azerbaijan, the international norms and rights.
“The referendum will have no legal force and its results will be ignored”, announced the FMs and added, “The referendum doesn’t go in line with the conflict peaceful settlement procedure”. According to Day.az website, the GUAM Council claims that the NKR constitutional referendum was to be organized with the participation of Armenian and Azeri communities in a peaceful and democratic order.
GUAM council called on the OSCE member countries to “condemn this illegal step and to support all the forces seeking peaceful regulation of the conflict within the realm of territorial integration of Azerbaijan”.
