On November 27 RA President Robert Kocharyan signed a decree about awarding a number of workers of television and radio in connection with the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the Armenian Radio and the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Public Television.

The awards went to executive director of the Armenian Radio Armen Amiryan, deputy head of the Public Television Marat Ordyan, TV presenters Mark Petrosyan and Arthur Bakhtamyan, producer Souren Rshtouni, news reporter Tatevik Baghdasaryan, Radio presenters Sargis Najaryan, Karen Vardanyan and Varouzhan Olqinyan, and singer of the pop symphonic orchestra Raisa Mkrtchyan.
