RA GOVERNMENT DISCUSSED THE A-320 AIRLINER ISSUE

Official

Today the session of the committee set up in connection with the A-320 airliner crash in the Black Sea was convened. It was presided over by Hovik Abrahamyan, president of the committee and Minister of the RA Regional Government.

The key issues of the discussion were the sums accumulated in the Treasury Department account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the construction of the monument in memory of the A-320 aircrash passengers, etc.

Pavel Safaryan, first deputy of the Minister of Finance and Economy reported that 88 million 461 thousand AMD have accumulated on the Treasury Department central account.

The committee decided to assign 85 million of the above mentioned money to the relatives of the aircrash victims in order to give additional 1 million AMD financial support to the relatives of each victim (1.5 million AMD has already been given to each family from the state budget by the decision of the RA Government).

It was also decided to give 2 million AMD to the relatives of two Armenian victims living in Georgia taking into account the fact that the Georgian government hasn’t rendered them any financial assistance.

1 million 400 thousand AMD will be assigned for the construction of the monument in the memory of the aircrash victims.

Ervand Zakharyan, Yerevan Mayor claims that they intend to raise the monument in one of the visible sites of the city, near St. Sargis Church in Nor Nork. A special committee was set up to deal with the organization of the construction tender.
