OMBUDSMAN CALLED UPON STATE BODIES TO RESPECT HUMAN RIGHTS
Support A1+!Human rights defender Larisa Alaverdyan made a statement calling upon the state bodies to respect human rights. “The Yerevan facilities construction program bases upon anti-constitutional acts pregnant with undesirable consequences that sometimes led to tragic outcomes.
“Mass indignation of the citizens deprived of property, public condemnations of the process of property deprivation as well as the critic expressed by the Human rights defender did not have proper impact upon the state bodies and especially courts, what testifies of their unwillingness to count with the human rights and freedoms. We hope that the recent tragic events will force them to re-consider their approaches,” the statement says.
