IRAN-ARMENIA GAS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION DISCUSSED

The Armenian delegation led by head of the president administration, chairman of the intergovernmental commission for coordination of Armenian-Iranian ties Artashes Tumanyan met in Iran with the Energy Minister, Deputy Minister of Oil and Deputy Foreign Minister of the country.

Artashes Tumanyan and Energy Minister Parviz Fattah exchanged views about the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline construction and discussed programs in energy sphere.

Delegation member, RA Energy Minister Armen Movsesyan stated that the first in Armenia wind mill built with Iran’s assistance will be put into operation till the end of the current year and invited his counterpart to the opening ceremony.

On the same day the delegation led by Artashes Tumanyan met with Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and CIS Mehdi Safari. During the meeting the parties exchanged opinions on a number of bilateral and regional issues. Mr. Safari assured that the Iranian Foreign Ministry will exert every effort for the development of relations between the two states.
