On October 27-28 in Faro the CoE Ministers' Conference titled «Inter Cultural Dialogue» took place devoted to the 50th anniversary of the European Inter Cultural Convention.

During the Conference the CoE Culture Ministers adopted the Faro declaration about the CoE strategy about the development of the Inter Cultural Dialogue.

During the meeting several Culture Ministers of the CoE countries signed the CoE Convention about Cultural Heritage values. The RA Culture Minister Hovik Hoveyan also signed the convention. He also made a speech during the conference.

According to the Minister, cultural dialogue must be grounded on the principle of the human rights, the freedom of religion; the rights of the ethnic minorities, gender equality, cultural values, cultural heritage and the historical truth must also be respected.

Mr. Hoveyan also mentioned that Armenia supports the idea of inter cultural dialogue which will play an important role in the settlement of conflicts, as well as in the combat against terrorism.
