SERGE SARGSYAN IN AMERICA
Support A1+!The RA Defense Minister, Secretary of the Security Council attached to the RA President Serge Sargsyan is still in USA on official duty.
October 27 the RA Defense Minister made speech in the Carnegie fund. Representatives of the US Pentagon, State Secretariat and other state institutions were present at the speech.
The same day the RA Defense Minister was the guest of the round table organized in the Washington Defense National University. Representing the opinion of the Armenian authorities about the regional security and settlement of conflicts, the Minister mentioned that the countries of South Caucasus can record considerable achievements only by cooperation. Referring to the negotiations on the Karabakh conflict, Mr. Sargsyan found the peaceful settlement by means of the Minsk group extremely important.
In the US Congress the Minister met congressman Jim Colby. During the meeting issues about the aid to Armenia, regional developments and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict were discussed.
In the evening a reception was held by Pentagon in honor of the RA Defense Minister in which high officials of the US State Secretariat and Defense Ministry participated.
