NA SPEAKER MET VENICE COMMISSION MEMBERS
Support A1+!Today RA NA Speaker Arthur Baghdasaryan met with the representatives of the PACE Venice Commission.
Pointing out to the necessity of cooperation with the Venice Commission within the processes of establishment of democracy, the NA Speaker said that there is a considerable difference between the previous drafts and the one that was adopted in the first reading. However, he noted, there are items that should be still amended including the ones referring to the independence of the court system, election of the Mayor and division of power.
The parties agreed on joint discussion with the Commission members till the end of June and then on adoption of another variant in the second reading during a special session. Thus the referendum is likely to be held in October.
