LAVROV IN CENTER OF SCANDAL
Support A1+!Immediately upon completion of his visit to Armenia Russian FM Sergey Lavrov is going to pay a call to Georgia. However not started yet the visit turned to a scandal. In Georgia Lavrov's formal visit was changed to a working one.
This morning veterans of the Abkhazian and South Ossetian conflicts organized a protest action and laid a mourning wreath with a writing ''We condole with Russian diplomacy on its decease'' at Russian Embassy in Georgia. The rally participants protested against the intention of the Russian Foreign Ministry to change the program of Sergey Lavrov's visit to Georgia. The matter is that the Russian Foreign Ministry demanded visiting the monument to those killed in Abkhazia and Ossetia be excluded from Lavrov’s schedule.
The Georgian Foreign Minister condemned his Russian associate, “We cannot understand the country whose representatives will not demonstrate due maturity to respect the memory of the deceased”, he said.
“I hope that Zubarashvili’s statement will not create artificial obstacles for the development of relations between the two countries”, Sergey Lavrov said in Yerevan.
