THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY WILL NOT WASTE MONEY

On February 7 the National Assembly will start the spring session. From the political point of view one of the most important issues from those included in the agenda is the issue of the Constitutional Amendments, the intermediate discussions of which will start from February 11 in the Committees. The Parliament will start the discussion of the «Family Code» at the end of February. Other important political issues are the draft laws about the City of Yerevan and Local Government.

As for the social issues, the most important are the problem of the return of deposits and the draft law about Support for the families having many children.

Starting from the spring session, another Committee will be created in the National Assembly which will regulate the problems concerning the national minorities.

The Parliament has adopted another most important decision: from now on the delegates will go on business trips only on official duty. The Parliament will not finance the delegates for going to different seminars. The decision was made due to the fact that the seminars are not of much benefit to the delegates.

Together with the start of the spring session the visits of the delegates to the regions will also convene.

By the way, this year is the 15th anniversary of the Armenian Parliament and the 10th of the National Assembly. In connection with this different celebrations will be organized.
