ARF REPRESENTATIVES IN CYPRUS

On December 14 Cyprus President Tasos Papadopulos received in his residence the delegation headed by ARF Bureau Representative Hrant Margaryan.

Hrant Margaryan arrived in Cyprus on December 13 to meet Cyprus political circles in the framework of the activity conducted by ARF against Turkey’s membership in EU.

On December 17 European Union Summit in Brussels must make a decision on launching negotiations over Turkey’s membership.

The meeting took place by suggestion of ARF Bureau. Hrant Margaryan introduced ARF position on Turkey’s membership to EU and expressed ARF support to the stance of Cyprus Authorities. Margaryan has talked about necessity to resist pressures exerted upon Cyprus by various powers.

Cyprus President commented on Cyprus position to Turkey’s membership in EU and the probable steps.
