LATVIA-ARMENIA COOPERATION IN THE MILITARY SPHERE

Today Serj Sargssyan, Armenian Defense Minister and Secretary of National Security Council at the Armenian President received Edgar Rinkevichs, State Secretary of Latvia Defense Ministry and Anjey Vilumsons, head of Department for Defense Politics and Planning of Latvia Defense Ministry.
Minister Sargssyan welcomed the guest and stated that Armenia’s cooperation with NATO is deeply appreciated since the collaboration makes the component of security of our state.
Mr. Rinkevichs underlined some spheres of possible cooperation, especially peacemaking activity and education, between the defense super departments of our countries.
Both parts expressed hope that such meetings will continue in the future, too. Then the delegation members visited the Monument of Armenian Genocide and laid a wreath for the memory of 1915 Genocide victims.
