“KILIKIA” REACHED LEBANON

On September 11 “Kilikia” ship, the copy of merchant sailing ship of Kilikio Armenian kingdom in the 13th century, built on the initiative of “Ayas” Club of Sea Researches, arrived in Beirut.

On September 13, 2004, the solemn ceremony for greeting “Kilikia” under the patronage of Issam Fares, Vice PM of Lebanon Government took place. Former and present Ministers, MPs, clergymen, Ambassadors, leaders of Armenian parties and organizations, many Armenians and Lebanese were present for the formal ceremony.

While being in Lebanon “Kilikia” crew visited the ecclesiastics and the representatives of the Armenian Commune.
