IRANIAN DELEGATION IN ARMENIA

Iranian officials’ delegation headed by Iran’s president Seyed Mohammad Khatami arrived Wednesday in Yerevan. Armenian PM Andranik Margaryan and other top officials welcomed the guests at Yerevan’s airport.

Armenian premier is set to meet Iranian president on Wednesday. Economic and political cooperation between the two countries as well as trade ties and implementation of regional programs will be among the issues under discussion.

Energy industry and transport are considered among the most promising areas for cooperation. Both sides attach great importance to building hydroelectric power station on the Arax River.

After its two-day visit to Armenia the delegation will tour Belarus and Tajikistan.
