2004 ANNUAL REPORT ON TRAFFICKING OF US STATE SECRETARY

The representatives of Washington diplomatic corps were invited to Secretary of State in connection with publication of 2004 annual report on trafficking, made by US State Secretary. John Miller, Director of Office for Trafficking Prevention of US Secretary of State, introduced the report.

Armenia is among the states in the 2nd group. During the conversation with the representative of the Armenian Embassy Mr. Miller stated Armenia was holding the place and may move to the 1st group after implementing the proper program.

For that purpose it is necessary to hold transparent and scaled fighting against corruption, to disclose and punish those committing trafficking.

A new group was added in 2004 report that is between the 2nd and 3rd groups. In particular, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Turkey are classified in that group.
