CIS NATIONS’ RELIGIOUS LEADERS CREATE COUNCIL
Support A1+!After the first session of inter-religious peace forum that is now under way in Moscow, CIS nations' religious representatives announced they had created the CIS international religious council.
The council’s objectives are to set a dialogue between religious leaders and to preserve traditional spiritual values in society.
Twenty two religious leaders including Russian Patriarch Alexi II, Armenian Apostolic Church leader Garegin II, Georgian Patriarch Ilia II, Caucasus Muslims Sheikh Ul-Islam Allah-shukur Pasha-zade and spiritual leaders of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are members of the council.
