Support A1+!Archbishop Mesrop Ashchyan, who resided in Echmiadzin, the seat of the dominant Armenian Apostolic Church, for recent years, died Tuesday in of a heart attack.
Armenian Apostolic Church leader Garegin II and all the Saint Echmiadzin’s clergy mourn lament sudden death of Mesrop Ashchyan. A liturgy in Echmiadzin Church will be held on Sunday.
According to his wish, he will be buried in Antilias, Lebanon.
