”Or” Daily staff calls assault against Editor-in-Chief Gayane Mukoyan and the newspaper director Rafik Hovakimyan as display of a certain order on purpose. The best proof to it are beforehand actions of those reprising, i.e., moving away the car plates to be unidentified and wearing long head-gears to partly mask their faces.

Proceeding from the above circumstances and being quite sure that the accident was not hooliganism, we demand the preliminary inquest body to re-label the crime by the criteria of NN 2 or 3 planks of the 2nd part of 113th article of Criminal Code.

We announce that the crime bears some relation with professional activity of journalist and Editor-in-Chief Gayane Mukoyan, the recent publications in “Or” Daily in particular.

Despite the accident, we are resolute to keep publishing articles full of criticism, neglecting forbidden topics and impunity of some oligarchs and high rankers.

Of course, one may kill one, two or three of us. But it is impossible to do away with all the journalists of Armenia, appreciating the value of speech freedom. So those violating against speech freedom are doomed from the very beginning.
