VARDAN OSKANYAN’S VISIT TO NEW YORK
Support A1+!Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan, who is now in New York to attend 58th session of the UN General Assembly, signed Child Rights Convention’s two protocols related to children involvement in armed conflicts and child-sex trade, child prostitution and pornography.
The same day, Mr. Oskanyan met with his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharazi. The Bilateral relations as well as situation in the region, particularly, in Afghanistan and Iraq were discussed at the meeting. Karabakhi problem settlement prospects and Armenian-Turkish relationship was also discussed.
Vardan Oskanyan met his Dutch counterpart Jaap de Hoop Scheffer as well and congratulated him on his appointment to the post of NATO Secretary-General.
