MONITORING

Official

On September 11, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan armed forces’ contact-line, near the Bash Karvend village, Aghdam direction.

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Karol Kratky (Czechia), Kenneth Pikels (Great Britain) and Gennady Korge (the Ukraine).

From the Azerbaijani positions, the monitoring was led by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprczyk.

The OSCE Mission representatives had a talk with the command of the corresponding unit of the NKR DA responsible for this defense section, discussing the situation on the contact-line of the parties' armed forces. The Karabakh party, unlike the Azerbaijani one, led the monitoring group to the front line of its defense borders.

In the course of the monitoring, which was held in accordance with the schedule, no incidents or violations of the cease-fire regime were fixed.

From the Karabakh side, representatives of the NKR Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs accompanied the monitoring mission.
